TeamLift is committed to protecting your family's privacy while helping you share the ride and the snacks. This policy explains how we handle your information.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account Data: We collect email addresses and encrypted passwords used for authentication.

  • Village Data: We collect names of family members, activity schedules via synced iCal links, and "Village" circle memberships to facilitate coordination.

  • Location Information: We collect your "Home Base" address to generate accurate trip sheets and navigation routes for carpools.

  • Performance Metrics: We track personal usage data, including total lifts shared, estimated time saved, and CO2 reduction.

2. How We Use Your Data

  • Coordination: Your data is used to sync calendars and allow authorized "Village" members to see who is assigned to drive or providing snacks for specific events.

  • Communication: We facilitate communication through "Quick Chat" replies and trade requests between trusted drivers.

  • Navigation: We use addresses to provide pickup details and routing for assigned passengers during a scheduled ride.

3. Data Sharing & Security

  • Trusted Circles Only: Your family’s data is only visible to members of the specific "Villages" you choose to join via secure, private invite codes.

  • No Third-Party Sales: We do not sell your personal or family data to third parties.

  • Security: We utilize industry-standard cloud encryption to store and protect all user information.

II. Terms of Service

By using the TeamLift app, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. The "Village" Model TeamLift is a coordination tool for private communities. You are solely responsible for the members you invite into your "Village". TeamLift does not vet individual drivers; it is the user's responsibility to ensure their chosen circle consists of trusted guardians, parents, or family members.

2. Safety & Driver Responsibility

  • Compliance: Drivers must obey all traffic laws and local regulations.

  • Safe Operation: Do not interact with the app while actively operating a vehicle. Navigation features and trip sheets should only be accessed when the vehicle is stationary and safely parked.

3. Data Accuracy & Liability

  • Third-Party Data: While we provide live weather feeds and calendar syncs, TeamLift is not liable for inaccuracies in third-party data or missed activities due to external scheduling errors.

  • App Functionality: We strive for 100% accuracy, but the app is provided "as is." We are not responsible for logistical failures resulting from technical issues.

4. Subscriptions & Advertisements Users on the "Free Tier" of TeamLift agree to the display of advertisements within the Dashboard and Lists tabs. Paid subscribers may opt out of these displays.

5. User Conduct Users may not use manual event or snack features to post inappropriate content or unsolicited commercial messages. We reserve the right to terminate any account that compromises the safety or integrity of the TeamLift community.
